Mechanical Condition:
The SL 500 is renowned for its legendary reliability and has been an extremely desirable car throughout Mercedes History. The 5.0 V8 in this example is extremely smooth, likewise the gearbox making for an extremely pleasant drive. There are no warning lights on the dashboard after extended test drive, no advisory items on recent MOT and the car has been freshly serviced by MB Dealer. The tyres are all Premium Continental items with good tread. Exterior Condition:
This example looks superb sitting on 20 inch wheels and much newer / expensive than the reality, ideally suited to an ageless registration number. The wheels are in excellent order having with no ingrained dirt or curb damage to outer edges. Brand new genuine Kahn centre caps have been fitted. The bodywork is in exceptional order for the year. There are no large or excess stone chips to the front end. There are no rust blisters or corrosion on the arches. There are no scuffs to the bumpers, car park dents or other significant damage. Interior Condition:
There is no evidence this SL 500 has been smoked in or used to carry pets and there are certainly no lingering smells. The leather is all in excellent order with no excess dirt or wear, even on drivers seat. The carpets are all clean with excess wear, dirt or damage. The boot area is very clean as pictured, emergency spare never used and genuine MB Battery fitted. The wood and leather steering wheel is an excellent option and there is no wear to the steering wheel mounted buttons as is common. All the door shuts are very clean as is the engine bay .

In my opinion R230 SL 500 values are currently at rock bottom, a perfect time to buy a car that can be driven and enjoyed while also being a safe investment for the future.
